Aya Safiya provides one-on-one Tarot consultations in-person and over video-calls. She is also available for events. She reads with both the Jodorowsky version of the Tarot de Marseille deck, and the Smith-Waite Centennial deck. Aya started her practice in 2013, and after studying under Blue June and Brian Oaster of Catland in New York City, and various mentors in California such as Mary Kay Mitchell, she has crafted her own method of reading. For the last two years she was the house Tarot reader at The Secret Tarot Temple in Oakland.

The Tarot is a deck of artistically decorated cards that serves as a metaphysical textbook and a form of divination. The Tarot is consulted as a means to ground oneself spiritually, as well as to answer practical life questions in the face of confusion or indecision. The origin of the Tarot is controversial but it is likely to have come from North Africa or the Middle East. The oldest known Tarot deck is the Tarot de Marseille deck, and undoubtably the most influential one the Smith-Waite.
